This lecture provides an overview of digital radiography (DR) systems, including image formation, image processing, exposure indices and various imaging features relative to DR.

- Explain how exposure indicators can be used
- Describe the process of digital image formation
- Describe DR imaging features and post processing techniques

Speaker Bio
Missy Curtis, MS, RT(R)(CT)ARRT(CNMT)NMTCB
Missy Curtis is an Instructor in the Department of Radiologic Sciences at the University of South Alabama. She obtained her Bachelor of Science in Radiologic Sciences in 2007, and her Masters in Instructional Design and Development in 2016. Before she became an Instructor, she worked at Mobile, Alabama’s only Level One trauma center for 14 years. It is because of her experience at University Hospital, that she has a passion for challenging students to think outside the box and see the bigger picture when faced with difficult situations. She is an active member of the ALSRT and currently serves as the ASRT Junior Delegate and Annual Conference Co-Chair. When she is not working, she spends her time with her husband and three kids, usually at one of their extracurricular events.
